Once again my travels brought me back to K's and what commenced was a lovely mid afternoon date funded by our recent DVD sales (thanks Half-Price Books), the money from which K graciously put into a fun money fund for us. He's a winner. We rushed out the door to try to get to the 10:30 showing, splitting a Fiber One pop tart on the way for sustenance.

We journeyed to the 3D IMAX extravaganza that is Alice in Wonderland and it was pretty crazy.

The visuals were stunning and K was having a blast. I also loved it, but had my reservations about characters such as the White Queen (whose floaty ethereal nature which was at first funny, eventually grated upon my nerves)  and the Cheshire cat (who never actually landed but just floated everywhere).

After our visual appetites had been whetted, it was on to Chipotle for some delicious delectables. We witnessed an oddly inappropriate couple that were far too old to be acting like junior high students...we laughed...a testament to our similar immaturity. Lets call it young at heart.

K also started his new job today and in the mean time, I am helping him get some laundry done while I do research and grading.

Another whirlwind day, but a deliciously happy one instead of stressed, I am going to enjoy it till the last drop.

  1. Ooh, I'm glad to get your take on Alice. It looks intriguing but the critics are all over the place.
